PM Modi's itinerary includes a five-nation tour commencing on July 2, covering Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia, as revealed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday.
During the first segment of his journey, PM Modi will be in Ghana from July 2-3, marking his inaugural bilateral visit to the country. This visit is significant as it marks the first Prime Ministerial trip from India to Ghana in 30 years.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State for Government Communications, announced, 'The Presidency of the Republic of Ghana is excited to confirm that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on an official two-day visit starting Wednesday. This visit underscores the longstanding friendly relations between Ghana and India, and the commitment both nations have towards enhancing their strategic partnership.'
While in Ghana, PM Modi is expected to engage with President John Dramani Mahama to assess the robust bilateral partnership and explore additional avenues for collaboration in sectors such as economic development, energy, and defense.
The discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation across various domains, including trade, investment, agriculture, technology, education, healthcare, and energy, while also addressing regional and global issues of common interest.
